0.19 Sketcher Problems

Hi,

in current 0.19pre i see 2 Problems with Sketcher, one minor, another bigger :

1: When in Sketcher, features from the object tree can sometimes not be switched invisible or vice versa. I did not find out when exactly.

2: When trying to use a named constraint , in 0.18 after typing C into the box ( which comes up after = sign keying ), brings up "constraints.blabla" or a list of constraints of the current sketch. This autocompletion seems totally missing in 0.19 . Typing constraints.blabla will bring the value but this is very very tedious.

Did i miss something ifor 0.19 Sketcher or are the real regerssions. Can someone else verify these observations ?

This at least the 4th topic about that. The function has been lost during the big merge. Though the expression field now supports much more attributes. This isn't really a regression but a ... compromise. However I don't know if there is current plan to improve this so named constraints are available in autocompletion (as it was before). @chrisb may have more info.

I haven't really more information, but realthunder is aware of this issue. If you are looking for details: it was not exactly the Big Merge, it was shortly after, when realthunder's new expression engine was committed. I will see if I find the post.

Concerning Harry's first point: I have seen this as well, not only in Sketcher, but I cannot say either when or how it occurs.

I tried to find something on that but did not find...thus i decided to finally post it here.

Though the problem #1 you described seems to be confirmed while not well identified. Could be good to change the thread title to match this specific issue so we can merge here information when we find some.

For me , working without this is annoying and tedious. Keeping a written list of dozens of constraint names makes no sense... and is somewhat pointing back into the last decade of Software usability

Thus,i am stuck to 0.18 for my own projects as well as for videos. I cannot imagine telling someone...now write down the name of the constraint....
