Inverted Sketch

Post by dubstar-04 »

I'm looking for some guidance and Ideas on how to prevent sketches getting inverted.

Typical Example:
StdSketch.png
StdSketch.png (35.99 KiB) Viewed 536 times

If I make changes to the sketch one end becomes inverted
InvertedSketch.png

Thanks,

Dan

You can try to use angles, as the angle constraint respects the direction of lines. You find some additional information in this document: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=30104.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

One solution using an Angle Constraint:

(Check your wall thickness at the left end of the smaller barb fitting after you change the Vertical Distance Constraint from 15 mm to 8 mm)
