Sketch plane orientation

Postby peterl94 » Thu Aug 15, 2013 3:43 am

Hey,

Is it possible to specify the orientation of a sketch mapped to a face? I don't find the way it orients the sketch in some cases very intuitive.

If I pad a sketch in the YZ plane and then create a sketch on a face in the XZ plane, the sketch's horizontal and vertical axes are switched (that is, the vertical axis is not along global Z, like it was in the YZ sketch). I would rather it be the same as when you create a sketch in the XY plane.

Edit:
I'm using 0.14.2391 on Ubuntu 13.04

Thanks,
Peter

When a sketch is mapped to a face we have to follow the orientation of this face.

Ah, okay. I figured I was just wishful thinking ;)
