Maybe exporting to DXF is always viewed from Z direction and you need to rotate the result flat on XY plane?

Thats right but I did do an orbit to view properly and the straight line was still a straight line.

By result I meant the shape you want to export as DXF BEFORE exporting it.

Well Kisolre you hit the nail on the head! I rotated ChrisG's macro shape before exporting to a DXF file and the DXF file was spot on. It also matched the Saso's method of a generated shape. Thanks.

Thanks to all those involved with solving the "Development of a Curved Surface" problem.
