Colors on freecad

When I click on a surface to place another sketch on it changes to a very light colour, yellow and a place a circle sketch on it which is white so its very hard to see, how can I have contrasting colours. Very new to this, so sorry for the stupid question.

Edit->Preferences->Disply->Colours and Selection/Preselection

You shouldn't be placing sketches on faces..... Please see, section on creating stable models.
