Hi!
My first try to escape from AutoCAD today!
Can someone tell me why when I press the "New", orbit cube spinning all the time and I cannot do something?
I believe that, this is not a bug because it is so noticeable.
So, how can I stop cube for spinning?
I cannot upload mp4 files (why?) so I give a link to my Google Drive of a demonstration.

Welcome to the forum!
What input devices do you have connected? This is the funniest problem I've ever seen in CAD software

Wow!
It is the joystick.
Ok! Now I can try it!
PS: It is a little bit annoying "you must unplug this device to work".

Re: Orbit cube spinning all the time
I guess it's a calibration problem. If the problem persists it might be worth to check what exactly is happening. Please post the system info as per the red banner at the top for future reference.

Hi Nick, and welcome!nickreserved wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 9:05 pm PS: It is a little bit annoying "you must unplug this device to work".
Nick, in other words, at rest your joystick is sill sending an input signal to your computer. FreeCAD isn't to blame for this problem; instead it's the joystick.

Strange indeed. In addition to bejant's explanation. Try Edit>Preferences, Display panel, Navigation Tab, Uncheck "Enable animation"nickreserved wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 9:05 pm Wow!

This might stop the spinning, but its unknown what other signals the joystick may be sending.
A different Mouse_Model might be less susceptible?
