Center mark in a technical drawing

Post by niceandeasy »

Is there a way to create a center mark in a technical drawing (red lines) ?

Another question: does the Tech Draw module replace the Drawing module ?

(I am using version 0.19 for Windows)

Thank you beforehand

Please have a look at the documentation of TechDraw Workbench. There is a property ArcCenterMarks which can be set to true.

In Edit>Preferences>TechDraw >Annotation

Set Show center marks to see centermarks when frames are on.
Set Print Center Marks to see them when frames are off.

Could try this: Macro has nice features and was just recently updated.
Note: To remove a line click on it and then on eraser icon (Remove Cosmetic Object) in toolbar.
Can also click on line then change line style.

You can use the centerline tool in TechDraw workbench.

Note for future users - if you turn on center marks - note that this is a preference in italics. That means you will need to re-insert the projection for the drawing for this change to apply to it.

Thanks for this discussion - it helped me out!
