Hello, my name is Scott and new to FreeCAD. I am a freelance graphic designer and one of my clients has a need for logo design to be DXF format. I use CorelDRAW and AI but primarily CorelDRAW.
The CorelDRAW native DXF export is bad really bad. even with the new 2020 edition. There is a plugin that works well call eCut 6 for Coreldraw. The export works but does increase the note count.
I have AutoCAD 2021 trial installed but it cannot open the exported eCut 6 DXF. I can export the FreeCAD as DXF and it open in AutoCAD no problem but FreeCAD adds even more nodes.
My question is how do I manually deleted nodes either on a poly-line or arc with out changing the shape. in CorelDRAw it rather simple delete the selected node but could not find a similar function in FreeCAD.
Please see attached screen grab comparison

Re: FreeCad delete nodes
Note that the blue squares need not all be nodes. AutoCAD will also add these grips at f.e. the midpoint of curves.
Without a DXF file it is hard to help.
Available DXF option depend on the FreeCAD version.

Re: FreeCad delete nodes
The DXF-format is used as file format by these 2D-CAD-programs: https://librecad.org/ and https://www.qcad.org/en/.
So I would try the above programs first.
