What does this post mean? Can you still reproduce the crash?

I was able to prevent the crash and get the operation to work with no regressions on the public, occt data.

Thanks @tanderson69! Maybe we should let the packages know to utilize your forked and patched OCC library?

Curiously I don't get a crash here:

Code: Select all

OS: Linux 5.18.1-arch1-1 (KDE/plasma)
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.20.28990 (Git)
Build type: None
Branch: master
Hash: 07e38636b9e86edbfa7fb60c4ad7a27294e0ab13
Python 3.10.4, Qt 5.15.4, Coin 4.0.1, OCC 7.5.3
Locale: English/United Kingdom (en_GB)
That version of OCC doesn't have your patches.
Appimage, snap and flatpak without your patches all crash but the snap and flatpak with the patches doesn't.

What's our procedure for bugs that are fixed in the occt fork? If left open it might be worth adding a tag like bloblfish-fixed to know it has been adressed but not upstreamed.
