As I said, the coincident operation should be cancelled, not the warning message. It has been noted many times that going forward in a sketch when error conditions exist simply is asking for trouble.

That solution sounds great to me. Obviously, I'm new here -- is this the point at which I file something in the Tracker?

Delighted to have found this thread, because I have experienced something like this quite a few times...
Only way to get out of trouble was to close the sketch and start sketching again, at which point I was able to delete offending/redundant constraint, before continuing as normal.
I freely accept that it is most likely me causing the problem in the first place, by not watching task part of combo panel :oops: and missing all the warnings as they appear...

Yes.

You have done everything correctly. The behavior is now well-defined and a proper ticket can be written.
