Dissaster after change pocket length

Postby maxdutka » Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:02 pm

I work on my first, more complex project in FreeCAD, and I'm don't know what's is going on.
Change "Pocket006" length from 15mm to 10mm generate chain of disasters. Looks like this operation broke some connections, to one of face. But why?

I have the same result on version 0.19 and 0.18.

I was repair project by change some links, and modifying some sketch, but it takes some time, and I don't wont to do it in future :(
What I'm doing wrong?

I attach project file before Pocket006 length change.
Thanks for any help.

Change "Pocket006" length from 15mm to 10mm generate chain of disasters.
That is because you have attached sketches and datums to model faces, edges, or vertices. This is to be avoided if you want a stable parametric model. There is much Forum documentation on this subject, e.g.: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Topological_naming_problem
