View/hide measurements.
Hi Guys
Thanks to everyone in the past who has helped.
I need some help again. Please excuse me.
I searched for view/hide measurements, but of the ones I found I did not understand any. I need pictures.
I have a sheet I want to put slots in. It is a repeatable pattern. But the measurements and the constraints are so close that I cannot click on the lines so I can make this equal that etc. The only way I can highlight the part is to zoom out then highlight, then I must zoom back and select the next part then say equal…it un-zooms to the wrong place and then I lose the highlight.
If I could remove the numbers and constraint symbols, then I could see and highlight the part/line without all the noise. I think.
I am sure I am doing it all wrong. But you guys will tell me.

Re: View/hide measurements.
there is a tool in Sketcher that moves the constraints to a virtual layer.
it's still there, you just don't see it.

Thank you for the answer.
Do you know where? Are there any images of is location?
Thank you

Re: View/hide measurements.
You can select all constraints in the list to the left and hide them in the rightclick menu.

Re: View/hide measurements.
hi ChrisB
Thank you. But I am very sorry I do not understand.
This is what my screen looks like. So not sure where/what you mean.
I know I did not do it right, but it took a few days to get to this.

Re: View/hide measurements.
Here is a screenshot (CTRL-select or Drag select constraints in the list (left side) and RightMouseButton over the selected constraints)) and a file for you to examine. I used Multitransform to make the base pattern, which can be extended as much as you like.

Re: View/hide measurements.
Here the multitransform is indeed the way to go. As a rule of thumb, as soon as you have more than 100 constraints you should start thinking about modeling differently, i.e. patterns or mirror as used here, or splitting a sketch into several features. It doesn't work always, but very very often.
If you don't feel comfortable with the rather clever diagonal first pattern in kisolre's model, you can model just two of the slots in one sketch and then make a multipattern in X- and Y-direction only.

Re: View/hide measurements.
Hi Kisolre
Thank you. ???
I cannot Ctrl-select – I do not have a select key?
I highlighted part of my part and moved it to the left – nothing happened.
I tried Ctrl and used the mouse to make a square over the part – nothing happened.
Hi ChrisB,
Yes I am sure you are 100% correct. I am not understanding any of this.
Thank you.
(If it would help, I have attached the file - took days).

Re: View/hide measurements.
Select as in LeftClick mouse button over the item. Ctrl-select - press and hold CTRL key on the keyboard and then select multiple items with Left Mouse Button...
This was done to the constraints in the constraint list to select them all and then selecting context menu item will apply to everything selected.

Re: View/hide measurements.
If the 'Switch Virtual Space' is greyed out, select and deselect something in your sketch, then it should appear clickable.
Pls dont get confused with the 'Spaces', you can create constraints on both of them, better let one complete empty (as in my example).
