Visualisation issues with STEP files

Hi Everyone,

I am having problems importing some step files from a customer. Specifically, it seems that the spring can't be correctly visualized! Here for example, you can see how FreeCAD shows one of the models:

It doesn't seem to be an issue if I open the same file with another CAD software such as CAD Assistant (which is also based on OpenCASCADE), Solidworks, etc.., as you can see from here:

This happens not just for this file, but for many other files with similar spring features (see some example files attached).

The same behaviour was tested with FreeCAD 0.18.1 and 0.18.4 on Win,Ubuntu and MacOS.

Does anyone can see these files correctly in FreeCAD?

Can you please retry with FreeCAD 0.19? There have been improvements made concerning Step import.

The first and second files load and render OK with this version:

But, it does not pass geometry check, showing self intersections in the spring or its interface.

I gave up on the third file when it would not load after several minutes.

Version 0.19 did the trick! I can see the STEP import module has been quite improved!
