Spreadsheet Units default to mm

Post by Rhinokeegan »

I'm using version 0.18 and I'm quite new.

I've changed the units in preferences to "imperial decimal (in/lb)"

When entering numbers into a spreadsheet the default to mm. Even when I change the cell preferences "Unit string" to "in".

Example: I enter 10 (meaning 10 inches) and it displays 0.394 in (meaning 10mm)

It only works if I enter "10in" into the cell. This is a workaround but half the time I forget to put the "in" after the value I enter.

Is there a way to set the default units in a spreadsheet to inches? My old American brain just doesn't want to work in metric :)

Thanks!

Bumping this thread because I'm having the same problem, too.

I've got my preferences set to use imperial units.

If I put a value into my spreadsheet (e.g. "10"), and then change the cell properties -> display units to "in" (no quotes), the cell value changes to "0.39 in".

How can I input "10" as my value, and actually have it interpreted as 10 inches?
