I was just wondering if it is possible to use the leap motion controller with freecad.

Just looking over the reviews, I don't think the Leap Motion device is ready for a CAx application. Could it be interfaced? Probably, (they even offer Linux drivers), but the current state I see it in, it would be more of a novelty than anything "production worthy". If you have one and it's working, take a look at the code that is used for the space mouse and have a go at it. Others might have a different opinion, but that's my take on it at the moment.
