Hello,
I am new to FreeCAD and here is my first question.
Is there a way to create two different sketches (on differents plans) and editing the two sketches at the same time? IE, be able to move one point from sketch1 and then 1 point from sketch2 without closing sketch1 and opening sketch2? I would like to be able to have the two sketches open for editing at the same time.
Thank you.
Here is my current FreeCAD config :
OS: Linux Mint 14 Nadia
Platform: 64-bit
Version: 0.14.3066 (Git)
Branch: master
Hash: 36bcc580d6f13c1c0e84351419cc9c33227c6785
Python version: 2.7.3
Qt version: 4.8.3

Re: Editing two sketches at the same time
Hello Hurdy,
It's not possible at this time, but this could be a worthy enhancement request. I believe it's never been asked on the bug tracker. It's really the best place to ask for new features, because forum posts can be quickly forgotten.
So I just opened a new issue #1391.

Re: Editing two sketches at the same time
Actually I wouldn't bother with making a request for this. With the current internal structure of FC that assumes only one object to be in Edit mode at the time, such a feature is not realistically feasible. Why would one need to edit two sketches simultaneously? Is this practice available in any other commercial CAD?
Re: Editing two sketches at the same time
Yes, and I do it all the time.
Too late, as the link suggests, I already created the report.

Re: Editing two sketches at the same time
interesting. Normand could you give me a more concrete example? Having most of my CAD experience with ProE I am unable to imagine this use case.
