I wanted to make an isometric drawing with its dimensions (isomtric).
Therefore I go to Wiki page for TechDraw WB and follow the tutorial along. But I am stucked at ISOMETRIC dimension according to its face such as 30, 90 and 150 degree.
I need something like this.....
but I got this....
Dimension should be parallel to the face (green highlighted).
Does anybody knows how to deal with it or guide me step by step that I can follow to get the expected result?

Re: How to align dimension in ISOMETRIC view
As I learned here, dimensions arent used in isometric representations in technical drawings. You can use them nevertheless, but you have to link the dimension to the right thing in 3D view, see TechDraw Dimension Link.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Yes, I did the same, but no luck. Actually I followed step-by-step tutorial and linked the dimension as instructed on Wiki, due to that I got the dimension 53.00, otherwise it was 43.7.chrisb wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 9:07 am As I learned here, dimensions arent used in isometric representations in technical drawings. I only tried to make parallel dimension according to ISOMETRIC PLANES (which is 30°, 90°, and 150° for X, Y, and Z axis respectively). Do you have any other source or recommendation?

Re: How to align dimension in ISOMETRIC view
I have the same issue and I see this was possible in 0.18 version:
But now it is alined either to measured line or horizontally/vetically to the page -- not as needed by tech requirments in industry.
Does anybody knows is this an issue for future releases or what can be developed/modified in programm's code in order to make such option?

Greetings to the Community!
In these latest versions of FC it is no longer possible to dimension an axonometric drawing in TechDraw, even by importing the "Dimension" objects of "Draft".
Hopefully, version 0.18 will be restored.
In any case, the possibility is given by the Macro TechDrawTools which allows, with the tools it is equipped with, to design appropriate cosmetic constructions, it should however be specified that it is a long job and that requires a lot of patience.
Here some examples:

Works flawless here on the master.

Just said, that the dimensions of the ISO industry norm is per default (which does not mean, that others are not allowed) always projected, regardless its orientations view. But as mentioned above, you can easily switch with the Techdraw Dimension Link and make them true.

Greetings to the Community!
This is what you get in TechDraw using the tools of the "TechDrawTools V-0.4.4 multilanguage" macro.
Here the link that explains in a * .gif the main steps of how to do it and the final result: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... &start=70
