I am using the latest nightly version released for Ubuntu 20.04. I update software at least twice a day.
Ok, if you update 10 times a day but the server hasn't completed a successful build in a month then you're not going to be current. In the OP you posted a commit hash of git commit e8566f2 which was March 3rd not April 2nd.

Maybe worth considering self compilation, it's not that difficult on Linux and once you're up and running you just use a shell script to do the update and that's from someone who spent all my engineering and IT careers on Dos and Windows.

And regardless of what Syres says, you must test in dev version not release, if you want to report a bug.

What is the ppa for the dev version? I thought the daily version was the bleeding edge.

I don't think it's available from the PPAs yet, you need to compile or use an APP image.
