Hi Bance,
Your file was fine. I was able to put 8 holes in ring and changed pcd from 72 to 72.5mm
I can't see how the hole size and location was generated. (I need to reduce hole size to 3mm)
Additionally I need to counter bore these eight holes and also add 16 more 1mm holes on 66.5mm pcd.
I am grateful for help but I am keen to learn just how to carry out these operations rather than relying on someone else to do it for me.
I have been searching online for assistane in ths area but not having much luck.
As you can tell, I am pretty new to this FreeCAD.

How many times do you have to be told, make a sketch then create a pocket/hole with the sketch(instead of revolve use the feature you need.)

In the file I posted double click on the sketch to edit it.

What is pcd?

Hint feature you need is pocket for straight through hole or hole for counterbore.

So the title of this thread is polar patterns, but you know about polar patterns, so the next level down is feature, but you know about features because you made a revolve.

So the next level down is sketch, but you know about sketch because you made one to create the revolve, so what exactly is it that you want to know?
