I am getting error on export

I selected download lib automatically. I selected all the elements in my 2 d drawing. I hit export, I fill in the file extenision after manually selecting the type.

I give me an error now, export of this file type is not supported by drawing module.

I am trying to do a dfx that Solid works can read.

Don't select all the items in the drawing, just select the drawing and export that.

Dxf has limitations.

Are you talking about TechDraw work bench? If you are referring to drawing wb, then that was deprecated a long time ago and is only still there for backwards compatibility/functionality.

If you attach a file and your FreeCAD version data we may be able to help more.

I just downloaded and installed yesterday from sourceforge, who claimed it was the latest windows version. Hmmm.

Stable versions from FreeCAD's Download page. More recent are the development versions.
