Help understanding why fusion is failing

Post by chennes »

I've got a file generated from an OpenSCAD import... it looks like this:
FusionCorrect.png
FusionCorrect.png (218.02 KiB) Viewed 217 times
But if I try to do a Fusion operation on the parts (it's the outer gear portion and the inner portion with the holes in it), I get:
FusionFailure.png
FusionFailure.png (205.38 KiB) Viewed 217 times
Can someone hep me understand why that operation is failing? The FCStd is too big to post directly here, so here's a link to it:

In Group001 are two identical circles, circle006 and circle014. Delete circle014 and all is good

Awesome, thanks for your help tracking that down - best of all, it's not a bug in FreeCAD, but in the OpenSCAD file :D
