Polar pattern, too many occurrences causes hang

i was using the polar pattern tool to create a pattern of holes, initially i set the number to 36 (for 10 degree separation) and then tried to change it to 16, but accidentally changed it to 1636 by typing 16 without deleting the 36. FreeCad has been running @ 40% cpu usage for about 20 minutes, is there anyway to interrupt the polar pattern tool or any other workarounds?

should i report this as a bug?

Forced closed free cad, no backup was saved.

While Draft allows much more
When a calculation is launched it is impossible to stop it
by adjusting the frequency of automatic backup with a short duration it will be possible to get back to work with less loss

TBH I'm fairly new to free cad, and confused by the all the workbenches and i need to read up on them because i don't even know whats the difference between part and part design, and which tools belong where.

i adjusted the automatic backup, thats handy.

No you actually didn't (not in the correct way described in the link of the red banner). It makes it useless. We need to know the exact version you're using.
