Designing a kitchen

Post by Erich96 »

Dear All,
I searched a lot on this forum and found similar questions, but all seemed very different from my situation, maybe I understand something wrong, I attach also what I have. I succeeded in making a plan of the whole floor, I will add internal walls later.
Just to try out I wanted to add a kitchen bowl I have a stp file.
I opened my file with the plan in the arch workbench.
Then I changed to the "Part" workbench and clicked on "Part" then import CAD and imported the STP file.
Result: a very very little bowl somewhere in my plan of the floor. But I do not succeed in changing the dimension of the bowl, neither place it somewhere in the design of the room.
How should I proceed from now on ?
Thank you very much
Yours,
Erich

Thank you, this is very helpful. When I understand well the video explains how to rescale the imported object.
I will try it out.
But once I have rescaled it, how can I place it on the correct position in the room ?
Thank you very much

Erich

Thank you very much, now I can place the object correctly.
I use the mesh workbench and transform function, not very intuitive, i.e. not a drag&drop, but it works fine.
The scaling however is still not very clear to me, the first video you mentioned is not very clear for me, it seems to me very complicated. I remember I saw somewhere a method drawing beneath a rectangle with defined dimensions, but I do not remember where. Is there any description around for dummies like me ?
thx a lot
