Hello you all knowledgable peopel.
I am struggling with Fasteners WB to get it to thead a rod. I succeeded to properly thread a hole (and the 3D-printed result works with real bolts), but cannot find a way to thread a rod.
My workflow for theading holes is
1/ Make a sketch with a hole in it (Sketcher/PartDesign)
2/ Go to Fastener WB
3/ Select the hole
4/ Click on the "add arbitrary length threaded rod for tapping hole" button. This will create a (positive) rod in the hole
5/ In Part WB, select the Pocket and the rod and cut the second from the first.
I thought stg similar would work for theading rods (create a cylinder, select it, go to Fasterner WB and click on the "add arbitrary length threaded rod" button), but when I click on the button it adds a rod at the origin, not on the cylinder I want to thread. And I have not found any way to ask for the rod to be threaded properly "by" this new rod.
Any hint ? It is quite possible I'm doing things The Wrong Way.
