Make patterns on step model surface

How can I make circular patterns show in drawing on the surface of step model

If the step model has no defects (check it with the check geometry tool in the part workbench) you can attach a sketch to the face you wish to work on, add the appropriate sketch elements (2 arcs and 2 line segments in this case for each groove). Then in part workbench extrude the sketch to create an Extrude object. Then select first the step imported object, then the Extrude object, and do a Boolean Cut operation. The resulting Cut object (if all goes well and there are no defects in the step model) will be what you are after.
