Merging Triangles

Post by duckmug »

After converting an STL to a solid and refining it, there are still triangles left in most cases.

Is there a way to hand pick them and merge them together, making them part of a single face?

In the mesh tab I came across the remove components option but I don't believe it's what I am looking for.

This feature exists in proprietary programs.

If such triangles occur on a seemingly flat or on a cylindrical face, then there is a small deviation in the stl prohibiting the refinement.

you could use the defeaturing workbench. select the triangles, remove them, then fill.
