Hi, I try to move two parts doing point snap. Seems to work, however if I zoom it there is a gap between the parts.
I've tried to follow this but did not work as the problem is not exactly the same one:
https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=15252
Checked and both parts are placed at z = 0. The working plane was manually selected as XY, same as Auto.
Any help will be appreciated!
Regards,
Federico

Are you using Draft workbench?

Re: Snap fails to snap
When your mouse is very close to the end of the line to snap you do not see a white ball and then there is no snap. Move the mouse a bit further from the end and a white ball appears. Now the snap will work. When you realize this there will not be a snapping problem any more

Re: Snap fails to snap
sometimes, e.g. with inner edges it is helpful to switch to wireframe mode

Re: Snap fails to snap
I see such offsets if the snap was not done in the same plane, but as this was mentioned in the linked topic it is probably something else. The question is how far did you zoom in? At very very strong zoom levels the geometry displayed can fool you.

Re: Snap fails to snap
Oh yes the white ball was fully activated, otherwise I would not be sure the snap target was "locked".Willem wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:12 am When your mouse is very close to the end of the line to snap you do not see a white ball and then there is no snap. Re: Snap fails to snap
Good point however I've noticed the issue doing a cut operation and the result had filaments because of the offset. Not zoom at all
