Navigation cube quite small

Post by un1corn »

Hi fellow Cadders.
Is it possible to increase the size slightly of the navigation cube, sometimes I try several times to say, pick the corner or occasionally rotate the cube?
The text on the cube is very small in normal use and almost unreadable.
So I resort to dragging the images/parts around with the mouse.
The attached image might give an idea of the issue, Icons are sized at 24px, It was OK in V0.18.
Your comments appreciated.
Thanks

If you install CubeMenu from addon manager, you will get much more adjustabilities

Many thanks 937.
I kept looking in preferences, but the cube size is not shown in my case (see screen snip)
However I downloaded the Cube Menu and was able to adjust the size from the settings.
Now looking good, as in screen snip .
Thanks again.

I think that option was added in version 0.20.

I don't see it in 0.19 either.

Same problem here:

OS: Artix Linux (openbox)
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.20.26155 (Git) AppImage
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: 0926a4148bcff11249fd4f56bc30256102ffe105
Python version: 3.9.7
Qt version: 5.12.9
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.5.3
Locale: Italian/Italy (it_IT)

Latest AppImage.

Plus Cube Menu will crash with an error.

I think that adding a simple font size box to the main preferences will be a more useful modification.

Here what, font size is not cited in any place, I have also an installation of realthunder's ls3 version and I have succeeded to change the font size,
using "Label" setting on the cube menu, but this setting is not in stock FC version.

The point is relying on an addon to make such simple change is not a clever way, this weird behaviour is also in latest 0.19 Appimage, but in past version everything will show correctly, I don't remember well but in 0.19 this behaviour was not present in former versions, I have noticed when I have updated 0.19 to the latest AppImage.

Maybe I have to set some font preferences elsewhere, maybe in the system Qt settings, but how to know what font size (and eventually what Qt font specification name) navigation cube is using?

EDIT: I have read some discussion speaking for a missing font, on some installations, but there were (or maybe I've not seen) the missing font name . Does anyone know something about it?
