[Fixed] Arch Frame with rotated edges
Why longer edges of this frame are not oriented the same as shorter ones? How can I fix it?
EDIT: Setting Rotation to 90° "flips" the problem.

Re: Arch Frame with rotated edges
I am afraid this video is about the structural element tool rather than the frame tool.
EDIT: Indeed, changing Axis and Angle of the profile element influences the orientation of the frame elements, however, I can't find values that would make all elements "look" the same.

Re: Arch Frame with rotated edges
I am not a specialist in Arch but it seems to me that we cannot create a closed frame in this way
with the sketch "Frame" you can have a firm frame using "Wall" width 50 height 100

Re: Arch Frame with rotated edges
The problem is this. Here the profiles normal is aligned with the direction of an edge, but profiles y axis ("up") ends up pointing at rather random direction. With this pull request I am trying to fix this problem. There still remains the problem of improperly aligned ends that don't form proper joints, but that is another step.

I still don't understand, it's not that the question is obscure to me, it's probably my doing

Nope. I am looking to make this.papyblaise wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 6:33 am I still don't understand, it's not that the question is obscure to me, it's probably my doing :!:
This is it :?:
This is a single framing element. It can be a skeleton of a wall or (in my case a floor), just add thermal insulation and some sheet goods or siding et voilà! Of course this one still has improper joints. "Horizontal" (longer) edges should be 50 mm (2 * half the width of joists/studs) longer and vertical ones need to be shorter by the same amount.
Re: Arch Frame with rotated edges
Are you aware that there are add ons that deal specifically in these areas?
Try:-
frame, I notice timber is no longer maintained There was another which was for steel partitions but it appears not to be in add on manager, search the arch sub forum. You can also use Arch curtain wall.
