Part's fillet screw up too with an 4 edges crossing. Probably because OCCT.

GlouGlou

My previous comment about design WB is incorrect indeed
I did not notice that the seam was changed
Not an excuse - but it was late at night

I assumed OCCT as a very known Kernel could handle this but as it shows it cannot
Also the refine command does not remove the seam.

Good to know for reference and easy to work around by pre rounding in the sketch.

Extruding a filleted sketch makes it all work.

I will share the full file when it is done

here is a screen recording

https://drive.google.com/file/d/10ZNRL4 ... PbJuY/view

the rim sweep ( thick lip) i will add at the end - this command is slowing down FC significantly

good tip for the spout, I take note! :D

and yes, the rim sweep turns Freecad into a snail

yeah it is extremely slow

Realthunders build has a feature freeze which could be super useful in this case

one could always also make the sketch and then at the end do the sweep

you should look at the polar pattern in the final design - pretty slowing down the whole file.
to bad there is no freeze feature - one could always at least temp enter a smaller polar pattern value

Yes, arrays are very slow in Part Design. :?
For perforated patterns, I try to use Draft arrays and boolean as much as possible (10x faster).

The worst thing about Part Design arrays is that the default value is 2, and sometimes instead of
overwriting the value, I just click next to it, and if I want 10 repeats, I end up with 210!!! (kill Freecad task or not  )

and before you try, Techdraw is even slower to display objects containing arrays.
