Hi
In Fusion 360 i could select a body and use it as a tool to remove that shape from another body, i understand Boolean is supposed to do this in freeCAD, however it just seem to make both parts (the target body and tool body / Fusion360 terminology)) vanish.. what i am missing here? The resulting body would still be 1 part. Please see image
GREEN is the target body, the long 3D slot body (intersecting with it) is what i want to use as the body, so i end up with that nice slot in the large green body.
The slot body (tool) is a totally separate body with its own sketch.

Don't rely in your descriptions on Fusion 360 speech. This is the FreeCAD forum, and we see again and again that the number of users referring to Fusion 360 and at the same time understanding how FreeCAD works is extremely limited.

A good answer would have been:
well in Fusion360 you do it this way, in FreeCAD you do it however that way.

A good answer? We're still missing fundamental information here. I think in general IseyGarfield got it right. As soon as we're getting what's missing, we're going to be able to help.

And why didn't you give this good answer then, Mr. Wise Guy?
