Boundary fill - solid based on enclosed volume from surfaces

Post by Cekuhnen »

I was trying to figure out after Chrisb mentioned that in Design WB the Shape Builder command could produce a solid from a set of surfaces that watertight enclosure a volume.

Does this only work when the faces got trimmed / split before - aka the Shape Builder has no trim surface command build in?

"Shell from faces" needs faces that indeed form a shell.

Please use the notions which are well established in the FreeCAD world. There is no Design workbench in core FreeCAD and it's even worse that you seem to denote with this term different workbenches.

I do, but others may not, while others may need this precise information, which I don't.
