Making a spoilboard...

Post by jarhead_h »

I am making a spoilboard that is 31.75mm thick, 635mmx558mm dimensionally. I am going to be using SAE 1/4-20 round T-shaped inserts hammered in from the bottom. And then I will be milling a grid connecting each one with a right angle fence at the lower right corner as my origin.

Question - I know that I can clone things, but is there a way to automate the process hundreds of times? Perhaps automate the placement? Or do I have to place each pocket manually?

Depending on the workbench used you can use Draft Arrays (for objects built in Part workbench), or Patterns (for objects built in PartDesign workbench).
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
