Door not being placed in the right location

Post by zan »

I'm having problems placing a door (and generally most things if I'm honest) so that they snap properly to other things in my drawing.

As you can see in the video I've taken of my screen it appears that the door is snapping to the correct place and will be placed in the correct position, but when I press the mouse button it moves the door to the wrong place.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I wouldn't have a clue what it is?

Note that I'm pressing X so that the door moves along the X axis only.

I'm using FreeCAD 0.19 as follows and I've attached the file I'm using.

OS: Windows 10 Version 2009
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit

Thanks, I stumbled upon this work around a short time ago, but thanks for posting.

Why does it work like this sometimes and other times it works as expected? Is there some way of turning this behaviour off?

I guess you are using partdesign. I prevent that by not using partdesign.
