Do you have the demo theme available?

It should be in C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Gui\Icons\demo.rcc which also where the files I provided should be.

Then reboot PC.
Then start FC.
No change.

Should be close...

Put the svg's in a folder called constraintsLight. If you look in Demo theme you should find the demo icons!

I now have

and

FC stubbornly refuses to change the icons.

The only difference I can see is that I only have constraintsLight.rcc checked in register a resource.

Maybe try legacy?

I unregistered Demo.rcc but that made no difference either.
Did you see https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 50#p530658? Does the name (and path) difference have any bearing on the problem?

You seem to have cracked it! :D

It will certainly achieve what I need even though (please don't think me churlish for pointing this out) there are a couple of icons that didn't change. After this long battle I am delighted to consider enough to be enough.

I am very grateful that you stayed the distance. It must have tried your patience ferociously. Thanks.

In the legacy dialogue press the 'D' button, you can see that there are more than one of each of the icons that are not changed, if you click on an icon the proper name for it appears in the top right hand corner. No idea if you modified all that are necessary.

Sorry for the confusion over windoze directories, I have refused to have anything to do with that software for more than 20 years.

My boudoir calls. I'll check out the legacy stuff tomorrow. You may also be right that there is an issue with which icons need to be modified.
Thanks again.
