Extrusion d'une forme scannée complexe
Bonsoir,
Merci d'avance.
Bien cordialement

Thanks and sorry. I was on the French forum but do not understand why my post was driven to the whole Forum. How to proceed to first focus the post to a dedicated forum?

Re: Extrusion d'une forme scannée complexe
Hi,
OK, here you are. I scanned (3D) an object and imported the .step file into FreeCad. Then, transformed it into a solid shape in order to be able to add other shapes, geometries, etc... within Freecad: works very well.
I now would like to give more thickness to this object, i.e. like an extrusion through the Oz axis. How to do?
I tried extrusion (although this is not a face), a sweep and an homothetic (Draft menu), but none gives the expected result.
Thanks. Photo again, as the FreeCad file is too large.
Best regards

How to scale a. step in only one direction?
Thanks. Thats is what Y tried (cf. "homothetic" in my post), but it modifies the shape of the object if I asked for Oz upscale.
But, now, according to your proposal, I wonder if the initial point I enter (0; 0; 0) is actullay right or this one doesn't lead to this mistake. Perhaps should I select the center of the object. What do you mean?
Thanks.

How to scaleup a .step in only one direction
Indeed, as the Mesh_scale is an homothety and not a translation, the shape is not maintained (cf. picture). I am trying with a center far away form hte object but it takes a lot of time and is still running. If you have other ideas, welcome!
Thanks.
Thanks.
