Hello.
I followed the tutorial https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 00#p227968 and it's fine. At the end I was playing around with fillets but could not apply any filet to the edges of the opening on the sloping face. I receive error "Base feature's shape is not a solid." What is the reason for this? (My file attached).
TIA.
Kel.

Most likely you have the sketch (which is attached to generated geometry...not recommended because of TNP) and you are selecting the sketch edges not the solid edges.

Hello keltel, greetings to the community!
As @drmacro has already told you to operate the fillet you have to select the edges of the hole not the sides of the sketch003.
Deactivate sketch003 (space bar) then select the edges and start the function.

I don't understand the comment.
If you draw a first sketch(003) specifically to be used by a second sketch(004), you know what you are doing (like a master sketch). The TNP is upon you.
(but here sketch003 is heavily TNP-prone, so...)

Noting to do with the question, it was a side note.Shalmeneser wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 5:04 pmI don't understand the comment.
