sweeping a wire

sweeping a wire

Hi
I am trying to sweep a wire from edge but to no avail. What setting can correct this?

complete wire. Nearly there but some issues along the way

this I created from a cube's edges, so it can be done

but Sweep seems not like too much mix the intersection here.
I get around this issue like this. :roll:
