LCS on Arc misaligned

Post by Vagulus »

When I create an LCS concentric to the larger radius of the top left teardrop-shaped hole in this Part the z_axis is aligned correctly but the others are rotated 122 degrees.

Apart from guessing, which is what I am doing at the moment, is there a kosher way to get the X-axis of the LCS horizontal?

The FCStd can be downloaded at https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArMxdUYEh9fKwAcGMKn ... 1?e=7CArsk. It is marginally too large.

Apart from guessing
Abracadabra also works
without knowing which other direction, LCS guess you only have the Z axis
there is several question: why does your file start at sketch012, where are the previous 11
there is a problem in "BottomPlate Foot Fillet
and 1 other manifesto but I don't know where
a Refine = true from time to time is not too much

Attaching to the sketch arc, MapMode = Inertial CS seems to work.

Zoom out to make the object smaller - you'll see the other axes.

There are 30+ Bodies in the Document and 300-odd sketches. What I sent was trimmed to the body in question.

Yes. There was a viral addition to one of the sketches. Gone now.

Haven't used it.
