[Solved] Part Design Mirror

Post by DanielSchmaniel »

I have the element circled in red on the XY plane and I tired to mirror it to produce three other copies each at a corner of a box. The top-left mirrored element's orientation is good (vertical sketch axis) but I can't seem to figure out how to get the bottom two to point "upwards" with the same orientation as the original. How can I do this? Currently the bottom two are on the horizontal sketch axis.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

You cannot do this with a mirror, because what you want is no mirror. Use a linear pattern instead. Expressions tells you how to make this even parametric.

Spot on. Thank you. I played with the liner pattern before this but I guess I got frustrated before seeing that it could work. Again thanks for your help.
