If it were only a rendering issue a mesh created from the body would show the missing material, but it doesn't. It is some sort of OCCT bug related somehow to the coplanar face issue / seam line issue we see all the time.

I found out what was causing the issue.

When making the Additive loft, change the selection order of the two sketches and works fine.

I attach the file. Maybe you should include the information in the bug tracker.

Cheers.

@heron
Not sure how I missed the last part of the discussion...
Anyway, thanks.
Unfortunately, that fix is specific to that drawing.
Changing the order of the loft has no effect on the file below.

Yes, you are right. I checked the file, the problem continues and the trick does not work.
Regards.

Is this still an actual problem?

I failed to reproduce the issue on a recent git with any of the provided examples. Simple recalculation of the model seams to produce a correct result in each of the provided files.

Code: Select all

OS: Gentoo Linux (Trinity/trinity)
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.21.0.32200 (Git)
Build type: Debug
Branch: master
Hash: 1a0801a23f917f534d4dabe8c956df4cd206e2a2
Python 3.11.2, Qt 5.15.8, Coin 4.0.0, Vtk 9.2.5, OCC 7.7.0
Locale: Russian/Russia (ru_RU)
Installed mods:
  * slic3r-tools
  * BIM 2021.12.0
  * ExtremeProDark 2.7.0

Thanks for testing!
I confirm that it is fixed - probably in OCC, and have closed the issue.
