Hello.
In this example I have used PartsDesign to draw a rectangle and padded to form a baseplate. I then used A2plus to add a bearing block and align it to the baseplate as required. I would now like to be able to project the 5 holes (4 mounting, 1 for shaft) from the bearing block to the baseplate so I can add these holes to it. I have tried "Create an edge linked to an external geometry" but cannot select anything on the bearing. Is there some way to do this?
TIA, Kel.

Re: Project external details onto sketch
1) Make Body active (right click in tree toggle active body)
2) Select desired edges:
3) Create blue shapebinder
4) Hide everything except binder.
5) Open sketch, add links to external geometry.

Re: Project external details onto sketch
Thank you!! After this is it necessary to add the actual holes manually? Those circles come up as red lines, not the standard white / green lines, and don't affect the pad.
Also, when i try it the larger middle hole did not show up in the sketch on the first try, but it did when I closed the sketch and re-opened. Funny.

Yes, you add the holes manually taking the center and radius from the external geometry.
