Or to put it in other words, is there a corresponding command as "snap perpendicular to an edge in 2D" transformed into 3D as "snap perpendicular to a face or plane"?
- create a 2D sketch
- map this sketch to the appropriate element(s)
- select the appropriate map mod
Then you'll get a 2D sketch, but 3D oriented.
This is fully parametric, with full associativity.

... yes, however you can install both of them, in any case I prefer to use the classic tools of the "Draft" Wb.
