It seems Loft with two ShapeBinder is not possible. Can someone confirm that this is intended behaviour?
Or am I doing something wrong? (On a side note: Padding the ShapeBinder works.)
Please find attached a project file. The Loft works with the the Sketches in Body but does not succeed in Body001 with the ShapeBinder.

Re: Loft with Shapebinder
I think that is correct.

Re: Loft with Shapebinder
Do you perhaps have a little background on this topic?
Why is padding possible but not loft?
As a beginner I'm always thinking I'm doing something wrong.

Re: Loft with Shapebinder
I don't know if there is a technical reason.
But, Pad-ing/Pocket-ing ShapeBinders is a relatively recent addition.
So, it doesn't surprise me.
It could be it is a limitation of the Loft capabilities of the OpenCASCADE modelling engine. But, I'd guess it is because the Loft tool expects a particular type of edge construct and the ShapeBinder really being reference geometry would need intermediary to interpret what is stored in the ShapeBinder.
I suspect this is what has been done for the Pad operation.
Interestingly, other than the out of scope warning, a Part workbench Loft of the ShapBinders does work. So, I'm guessing it has just not been implemented in Part Design Loft as yet.

Re: Loft with Shapebinder
It's probably expecting a sketch-based object and maybe the shapebinder isn't that, so it isn't finding the Wire1 property. See my reply to drmacro's other post on the subject.
