I'm working on finishing my basement, and drew up a rudimentary plan in FreeCAD 0.19 (also happens in 0.20 27078, downloaded this week). Following the BIM Tutorial on the Wiki, I added a Section, and a Page with the ArchView. However, its scaled *huge* compared to the page.
Here's how it looks when I first add it (and zoom WAY out. that little white rectangle is the "page"):
Setting the "Scale" on the ArchView item to "Automatic" or "Page" doesn't seem to do anything. If I change it to "Custom", and set it to the smallest possible value (0.01), then it finally fits on the page:
However, I think due to this scaling, all the lines appear fat and distorted.
For reference, here's what the model looks like in the regular view:
My model is about 40'x40', while most of the examples I see of TechDraw are of smaller parts. Is there a way to have a model this large scale automatically, and look good?
Also, I'm not sure if this is related at all, but I'm wanting to add dimensions and labels to the view on the page, but all the dimension tools in my toolbar are grayed out. Is there a setting or mode or something I need to do to enable dimensions?

Re: TechDraw Arch View Scaling issue
The TechDraw dimension tools don't work on ArchView or DraftView as the image is created by the Arch/Draft workbench.psadauskas wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 9:17 pm Also, I'm not sure if this is related at all, but I'm wanting to add dimensions and labels to the view on the page, but all the dimension tools in my toolbar are grayed out. Re: TechDraw Arch View Scaling issue
Line Width can be set in the Arch View : Data. The scale tends to be set to between 0.05 and 0.01 in all the Arch / BIM tutorials I have seen. Try to first set the Custom scale so the Arch View is smaller than the TechDraw Page before changing scale to Automatic; it may do something useful then.
What is the proper workflow for a basement in Arch / BIM? I did not find many references to this with FreeCAD newer than 0.17
