I am very new in FreeCAD and need to use a ready 3D drawing from a manufacturer.
Here is the link: https://www.thorlabs.com/thorproduct.cf ... ber=GVS112
But when I download the DXF file and open it in FreeCAD, I cannot be sure if it is 3D since it looks like it is projected on 2D.
Can someone assist me on this namely open that file and see whether it is a 3D model or not?
I also attached the file.

Re: Help with DXF file
This is a 2D DXF file.
To check DXFs I can recommend to use this free CAD file viewer:
https://www.opencascade.com/products/cad-assistant/
When this shows a good results, FreeCAD should do too because both use the same CAD kernel. If not, please report this as bug here in the forum.
Re: Help with DXF file
No, I don't think it is a 3D model. But why not use the step-file?name404 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:04 am I am very new in FreeCAD and need to use a ready 3D drawing from a manufacturer.
