I would like to get a polar around an axle of a sketch. Why a single edge from a sketch is not working?
neither array, polar or circular use the edge for axle.

Re: axis reference for polar not working
Vincent is talking about the Draft PolarArray and CircularArray.
That would indeed make a good feature request, similar to the PartDesign "Select reference".

Re: axis reference for polar not working
I know he's talking about Draft workbench. I remember some time ago needing to use a datum line as this reference. Any straight edge should work theoretically, but I needed to make a datum line.
Edit: file attached.

Re: axis reference for polar not working
its working with a datumline, but could works with any edge is it?
and circular array seems bugged too.

Re: axis reference for polar not working
It's not really the DatumLine, although it serves here very well, because it cannot be separated from its Placement. You can select any other object as well for the Polar or CirularArray, and it will be aligned according to the Placement.TheMarkster wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:18 pm I remember some time ago needing to use a datum line as this reference.
