Printing saved file

Post by frisbee »

WOW this forum is good!!!! I was having trouble printing my first design from FreeCAD. I thought I would jump on the forum and ask what I missed. Well, I figured it out while typing the question. Open the file in my printer software (Creality) and save it to the SD card as gcode!!! I have been using other designs from thingiverse and practice printing stuff... HMMM muscle memory "Save file send to printer" like a .doc, xls. etc  noob printer here enjoying the learning curve... My question was answered, and still decided to post this, because we have all done something not so smart once, maybe twice

I save using Cura. It will ask to save to external card. You can also eject the card from there.
