Hole in surface

Post by AlexGross »

How can I make a hole in a surface? I know how to do it with a 3D object, using a sketch and apply pocket.
But how to do this on a simple 2D surface? (e.g. created with sketch+face)

This is simply the BEST practical tutorial to understand basic 2d and 3d boolean operations, and upgrade/downgrade command for 3d objects with Draft (that it's not so intuitive to use). Quick and dirty video, but very very helpful. Thanks Thomas for sharing, as always :-)

I would do it like this for curved surfaces
