so stage 2 of my UPS CAD saga...
i want to recreate a "battery caddy" and whilst most of it is relatively simple... a block with various pockets removed im struggling to get the intriror features of the electrical connectors to not get filled with extrusion material.
Heres my goal, or something very similar
and these are the connectors i need to keep "empty". (i dont care about the outside profile, infact id prefer that to be intergrated into the final item.)
Any advice warmly recieved.

Hello!
- Please have a closer look at the thread linked in the big red banner at the top and provide your full FreeCAD information.
- The screenshots are from your current model, showing the connector, correct?
- What stops you from continuing with the rest of the part?
- Could you share your FC file?

Re: Imported .stl, how to keep interior detail?
Great you're able to continue your work on this project.
But I think that you still have some work to do. Some things aren't working yet. I wasn't able to recompute your file. The treeview shows an error and I guess that you're looking for a single Part/Body, not for several Parts which happen to be positioned like they belong to a single Part/Body, correct? I've taken a screenshot to make it a little bit clearer.

Re: Imported .stl, how to keep interior detail?
thank you @M4x, yes, i need to do a little bit of housekeeping with the items on the left.
i also noted the error and know what caused it. i am in the process of fixing that (and redo-ing some of my work), there are some features i need to change due to the way this will/wont 3D Print the way i would like it to. i am learning better ways to "CAD" and this program, i think, is way more powerful than i will ever use.
